Upon the advice of our attornies, we have urged our members not to sign the district’s Technology Use Agreement. It creates a legally binding agreement. There has been no input sought from the RTEA and places sole responsibility on staff members for security. By not signing staff has been forbidden to use district’s technology. We hope that a collaborative process is used that helps to protect the interests of both staff and district moving forward.

Teachers around the country are being acknowledged for “Teacher Appreciation Week”. Not only do we thank the teachers, but our Educational Support Professionals, secretaries, and custodial/maintenance. Without us all working together, learning does not happen. We are proud to work with you day in and day out.
Thank you for ALL you do!

Individual duck numbers will be given to the purchaser. Ducks will be released into the water in a race to the beach. Prizes will be awarded to the families of the first three ducks to make it to the beach. All proceeds will help support the Rockaway Township Substance Abuse Alliance and the Rockaway Township Education Foundation
We are thankful for the overwhelming support for our “R.I.F.ed” 86 nontenured teachers and 152 paraprofessionals last Wednesday at the board meeting. As we stated in the public comment, our paraprofessionals are highly trained to meet the individual needs of our students at their developmental levels. Our non-tenured teachers have worked hard to be a part of our school community and mastered our district’s curriculum and initiatives.
We hope to see you at future board meetings. Join us in advocating for your students on May 3rd.
