The Rockaway Township Education Association (RTEA) represents 469 members, including Teachers, Custodians, Staff Assistants, Secretaries, and other Professional in the Rockaway Township School District.
The RTEA upholds the contracts the association negotiates with the board of education, and advocates for its members’ professional rights.
In addition, the RTEA supports many projects and activities that benefit our schools, students, and community. Through the NJEA Pride program, we have funded our annual Pumpkin Fest, and the screening of Screenagers to name a few.
Studies show that strong professional associations such as the RTEA effectively advocate for their students and communities. School districts with strong professional associations like the RTEA also have better educational outcomes for students.
We are proud of the work we do in Rockaway Township and we are proud to be a strong partner in public education!
